All artworks, images, graphics, text, designs, files, and other original works created by Sharon Milani (the “Works”) are protected under the Copyright Act 98 of 1978 (South Africa) and applicable international treaties.

Who owns what

Economic rights: Owned and controlled by Beastique (Pty) Ltd.
Authorship & moral rights: Sharon Milani is the author. She retains moral rights, including the rights of attribution (to be credited as the creator) and integrity (to object to derogatory treatment of the Works).

What buyers/licensees may do

Unless you have a separate written licence signed by Beastique (Pty) Ltd:

If you purchase a physical print or original, you own the physical object only. You do not acquire any copyright in the image.
You may display the Work privately (home/office) and resell the physical item you lawfully own.
You may share photos of your purchased Work on social media for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided you:
- credit: “Artwork by Sharon Milani @ Beastique™”, and
- do not crop out or remove signatures, watermarks, or metadata, and
- do not apply filters/edits that distort or misrepresent the Work.

What is not permitted (without prior written consent)

Reproducing, copying, printing, scanning, photographing, digitising, or distributing the Works (including on products, packaging, websites, or platforms).
Creating derivative works or adaptations (including colour edits, composites, or AI “style transfers”).
Any commercial use, including advertising, merchandising, branding, product packaging, editorial, or promotional use.
Minting NFTs, tokenising, or listing the Works on any blockchain or similar ledger.
Using the Works to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI, ML, or computer vision system, or adding them to any dataset.
Removing, altering, or obscuring signatures, credits, copyright notices, watermarks, or embedded metadata.

Digital downloads & screen use

Where Beastique (Pty) Ltd offers licensed digital files, your use is limited to the specific licence terms presented at purchase (e.g., personal display on your own devices). Any use outside those terms is prohibited.

Commissions

For commissioned Works, copyright remains with Beastique (Pty) Ltd and authorship with Sharon Milani unless a different written assignment/licence is expressly agreed and signed.

Fair dealing

Nothing in this notice limits rights that cannot be limited under South African law (e.g., narrow “fair dealing” exceptions). These are interpreted strictly.

Enforcement

Beastique (Pty) Ltd monitors unauthorised use. Infringements may result in takedown requests, licence fees, damages claims, and legal action. We prefer friendly resolutions. Please get in touch with us to discuss licences.
