About Sharon Milani
Beastique™ wildlife portraiture born from love and from loss.
Hector. My soul dog. 17 orbits. One eternal bond.
"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." Anatole France
From seventeen shared orbits around the sun with Hector came a simple, unshakable truth: Animals are not merely part of our world; they are sentient beings with stories, emotions and a presence as profound as our own.
Through couture-inspired portraiture, I dissolve the boundary between human and animal, elevating them from subject to sovereign. Each portrait is an invitation to witness their spirit, dignity and individuality without hierarchy.
From a BA Honours Degree in Graphic Design in London to a Photography Diploma with Distinction in Cape Town, I have always lived at the intersection of art and communication.
Today, digital illustration is my canvas, where imagination, photography and illustration converge to give voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.
Each original portrait is a quiet act of advocacy: a polar bear draped in Arctic chic, a hyena crowned in matriarchal royalty, a zebra poised to step from the pages of high fashion.
Equally deserving of catwalk exposure are the farm animals and those closest to us, the dogs, felines and domestic companions who share our lives, reframed through an artistic lens that reveals their hidden nobility, everyday celebrity and unmistakable intelligence.
These works are invitations to see animals as they truly are: sentient beings deserving of reverence, compassion and protection.
Beastique™ offers both Open Editions and Limited Editions. Open works are for anyone who feels a spark of connection, while Limited Editions are for collectors seeking something bold, rare and timeless. Together, they form a collection with global appeal that aims to speak across cultures, generations and spaces.
Each work is a quiet tribute to the wild, a reminder of our shared humanity and an invitation to consider what is at stake if their voices go unheard.
